An amazing Swiss jazz ensemble that seems to have invented its own traffic signals. Lareida's voice, a piano trio and a string trio flow and twist together like mind readers. Most impressive, they take on a cover of "Há Gente Aqui" (by the great and criminally underrated jazz duo Mário Laginha and Maria João) and reinvent it brilliantly. Still, the killer track here, for my money, is "Liar's Dice."
Favorite track: Liar's Dice.
Fantastic opportunity to get an impression what MoonJune Records is about (fusion, prog rock, avantgarde from all around the world, with a special spotlight on Indonesia ...). Many great artists to be discovered (mostly) and rediscovered (sometimes)!
Also, watch out for their special offers due to their 15th birthday (this is why, in short time, many other MoonJune albums will appear here ;-} ). Carsten Pieper
Such a beautifully crafted album. Such intense rich weaving of sounds and feelings. It’s one of those albums you are happy to share at the same time want to keep as a personal secret.
Amazing stuff by Mr Halsall. I suggest anyone reading this to spend some time in his early stuff too. Song to Charlie is monumental. il-berts
